Scope

This privacy policy applies to Quran on Watch, a standalone Apple Watch application designed for reading the Holy Quran and listening to verified recitations. Quran on Watch is developed and provided by Ala Ben Yahia under the Grabur Apps studio name.

1. Zero Personal Data Collection

We do not collect, transmit, store, or sell any personal data. You are never asked to provide your name, email address, phone number, payment details, or Apple ID credentials within the app.

Quran on Watch does not track your location, collect device telemetry, or generate advertising identifiers.

2. Local On-Device Storage Only

All reading progress, last-read ayah positions, bookmarks, audio playback timestamps, audio speeds, and interface preferences (such as font size and translation visibility) are saved exclusively on your Apple Watch within the app's isolated, sandboxed local storage.

Your reading and listening history never leaves your device and is never transmitted to Grabur Apps or any third party.

3. Quran Text and Audio Recitations

100% Offline Mushaf:The complete Quran text (authentic Tanzil Uthmani 1.1 script) and English translation (Talal Itani's ClearQuran) are embedded directly inside the local application database. Reading the Quran requires no internet connection whatsoever.

Audio Downloads: When you explicitly choose to download a surah recitation, the application connects directly via standard, secure HTTPS to the Quran Foundation public content delivery network (download.quranicaudio.com) to retrieve the audio file.

No personal identifiers, user tokens, or reading history are sent with these download requests. Once downloaded, audio files are stored strictly inside your Apple Watch sandbox for subsequent offline playback.

4. Third-Party Services and Tracking

Quran on Watch contains no advertising SDKs, no product analytics trackers (such as Google Analytics, Firebase, or Mixpanel), and no data broker integrations. We do not engage in cross-app tracking, profiling, or user fingerprinting.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Because all application data is stored locally on your Apple Watch and we maintain no developer servers or user databases, you have complete control over data retention:

You can delete individual downloaded surahs at any time through the in-app Downloads Manager to free up watch storage. Deleting or uninstalling the Quran on Watch application from your Apple Watch immediately removes all locally stored data, preferences, bookmarks, and downloaded audio files.

6. Children's Privacy

Because Quran on Watch collects no personal information from any user, it does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction).

7. Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy for future app releases, the updated version will be published immediately on this page with a revised effective date. The latest policy is always accessible at graburapps.com/quranonwatch/privacy.
